FURNITURE MAKER:

Responsibilities:

  • Building furniture from scratch, often based on provided specifications or designer plans.
  • Choosing appropriate wood, metal, or other materials for the furniture.
  • Utilizing hand tools (like saws, chisels, and sanders) and power tools (like drills and routers) to shape, cut, and assemble wood.
  • Measure and cut fabric or leather pieces with the aid of patterns or stencils and industrial cutting tools to precise sizes and dimensions
  • Make throw pillows and cushions
  • Knowledge of various furniture carpentry techniques

Qualifications:

· High school graduates are welcome

· At least 3-4 years of working experience in modular cabinet other furniture making and installation.

· Attention to detail.

· Has a good work attendance record.

· Analytical and can work with minimal supervision.

· Willing to work overtime if needed.

· Goal-oriented and driven to meet deadlines.
