Sample Maker

Job Summary:

The Sample Maker is responsible for producing prototype furniture or woodwork samples based on design drawings and specifications. This role ensures that the samples meet the required standards in terms of design, measurement, finishing, and quality before proceeding to mass production. The Sample Maker works closely with designers, engineers, and production teams to bring concepts into functional prototypes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, or technical drawings to create wooden product samples.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood materials using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Ensure samples reflect accurate dimensions, structure, and design details.
• Select and prepare appropriate materials (wood, laminates, veneers, hardware, etc.) for samples.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and production staff to meet requirements.
• Recommend improvements in design or construction techniques for efficiency and quality.
• Inspect and maintain tools, machines, and workstations.
• Ensure all samples are completed within deadlines and follow safety standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or vocational/technical training in carpentry, furniture making, or woodworking.
• Proven experience as a carpenter, joiner, or sample maker in the furniture/woodworking industry.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, machines, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to handle woodworking tasks.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in custom furniture or prototype making.
• Knowledge of modern carpentry techniques and materials.
• Familiarity with CNC machines, CAD drawings, or related technology (a plus).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php14, Php16,000.00 per month
