JOB SUMMARY

The Logistics Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transport of goods from the warehouse to designated delivery points, including retail outlets, clients, or distribution hubs. This role ensures that all deliveries are handled with care, documentation is complete, and routes are followed as scheduled. In addition to driving duties, the Warehouse Driver may assist in loading/unloading goods, conducting vehicle checks, and supporting general warehouse operations when needed. The position plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, inventory accuracy, and overall logistics flow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery Operations

  • Transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
  • Ensure timely deliveries by following assigned schedules and routes.
  • Secure items in the delivery vehicle to prevent damage in transit.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections (e.g., brakes, lights, tire pressure) and report issues promptly.
  • Ensure cleanliness and roadworthiness of the assigned delivery vehicle.
  • Follow all traffic, road safety, and company driving policies.

Documentation & Coordination

  • Check delivery documents and ensure correct items are loaded for each route.
  • Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients.
  • Communicate with warehouse and logistics staff regarding route updates or delivery issues.

Warehouse Support

  • Assist with loading and unloading goods in coordination with warehouse staff.
  • Help with sorting, organizing, or repacking deliveries if needed.
  • Return delivery tools or documents after trips and report completion status.

Support

  • Provide backup to other delivery routes or tasks during high-volume periods.
  • Assist in emergency or rush deliveries as requested by the supervisor.
  • Participate in warehouse activities during idle delivery hours.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • TESDA NC II in Driving or similar certification is a plus.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in warehouse or delivery settings.
  • Experience with loading/unloading, route planning, or local delivery operations is an advantage.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Technical Skills

  • Valid professional driver's license (e.g., Restriction 1, 2, 3 or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of delivery documentation and route navigation tools (GPS, Waze, etc.).
  • Familiarity with warehouse procedures and vehicle maintenance basics.

Soft Skills

  • Strong time management and route planning skills.
  • Dependable, disciplined, and safety conscious.
  • Professional and respectful when dealing with clients or store staff.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift, carry, and transport heavy goods safely.
  • Comfortable with physical work and long hours in transit.
  • Can adapt to physical demands of warehouse and delivery work.
