About the Role
We're looking for an IT Support Officer to be the go-to person for staff IT needs on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you'll troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues, support onboarding and offboarding, and keep systems running smoothly, delivering great customer service while building your technical expertise in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform password resets and manage basic account access requests.
- Troubleshoot minor software, hardware, and network issues with professionalism and urgency.
- Assist with configuration and setup challenges to ensure smooth user experiences.
- Handle general service desk requests (e.g., updating distribution and contact lists).Set up IT access, accounts, and equipment for new team members during onboarding.
- Coordinate with on-site staff for physical hardware installations and setups.
- Escalate Level 2 tickets to the appropriate team member as needed.
- Install, configure, and update standard business applications.
- Manage employee IT offboarding, ensuring access and assets are properly handled.
- Monitor performance of Unita systems and escalate issues or potential risks to Level 2 support.
- Maintain and update support documentation, FAQs, and user guides within the SharePoint knowledge hub.
- Use Jira to log, track, and close support requests, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Methodical, process-driven, and highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset, passionate about delivering excellent IT support and helping people resolve technical issues.
- Ability to work full-time hours 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Philippine Time (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM AEST).
- Proven technical experience in a remote IT support role, handling a range of software, hardware, and network-related issues.
