This full-time position is for a Special Education (SPED) Teacher - Management Trainee. The role involves directly providing specialized instruction to students with special needs while simultaneously developing leadership and management skills within the school's SPED department. The role will work under the guidance of a senior leader or supervisor or management for continuous feedback and progress evaluation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective, individualized instruction to students with special needs following the school's SPED curriculum and guidelines.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress by reviewing and analyzing the reports and assessments submitted by teachers, identifying trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, school staff, parents, and specialists to provide comprehensive support for students by engaging in regular case conferences, parent-teacher meetings, collaborative lesson planning, and student support team discussions.
  • Participate in meetings and training related to Special Education policies, strategies, and best practices.
  • Support administrative tasks such as documentation, reporting, and coordination of SPED programs.
  • Contribute to the management and organization of classroom resources and materials.
  • Assist in supervising SPED classroom activities and ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist the Academic Head with strategic plans for the SPED program, IEP development, contribute to policy revisions.
  • Perform relevant administrative and academic tasks duly assigned by the management
  • Leadership and management role in handling a team by providing direction, fostering collaboration, ensuring adherence to IEP goals, organizing professional learning opportunities, resolving team challenges, and coordinating with other departments to deliver quality programs and services for learners with special needs.#
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative in clarifying school procedures and processes, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing solutions. Collaborate with management to implement process improvements and with teachers to address operational challenges

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field with units in SPED Education.
  • Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) (Preferred but not required)
  • At least 1–2 years of experience working in a special education (Preferred but not required)
  • Knowledgeable in IEP development, differentiated instruction, and basic behavioral strategies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient, flexible, and committed to student-centered, inclusive education
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams and communicate effectively with families and stakeholders
