Job Description – Finance and Accounting Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

General Finance & Compliance

  • Oversee daily financial operations including accounting, budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and forecasting
  • Ensure full compliance with BIR, SEC, and other government agencies, including timely filings, registrations, and renewals
  • Supervise the proper issuance of invoices and billing statements in accordance with VAT and BIR guidelines to ensure BIR compliance and audit readiness
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Ensure all day-to-day financial transactions are recorded and reconciled within 24 hours

Accounting System & Software Oversight

  • Oversee the proper and consistent use of the company's accounting software, Odoo, for financial reporting, reconciliation, and internal controls
  • Ensure the Loandisk system is fully utilized for loan management, including recording of disbursements, repayments, collections, and updates to past due accounts
  • Lead the cleanup, reconciliation, and organization of financial records across multiple companies under the group to ensure accuracy and transparency
  • Maintain updated BIR-registered manual books of accounts in parallel with electronic systems

Team Management & Processing Oversight

  • Assign tasks and oversee accounting staff in the processing of:
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Petty Cash Disbursements & Replenishments
  • Loan Payment Posting & Monitoring (via Loandisk)
  • VAT-compliant Invoicing & Billing
  • Past Due Account Tracking and Follow-Up
  • Train staff on the proper use of Odoo and Loandisk and ensure workflow compliance
  • Conduct internal reviews and implement preventive measures against errors or discrepancies

Legal Coordination

  • Coordinate with the company's legal team to initiate and track case filings, demand letters, and recovery efforts for defaulted clients
  • Ensure financial documentation is prepared and provided to support legal filings and court proceedings
  • Serve as liaison between Accounting and Legal departments to maintain alignment and compliance

Strategic Financial Oversight

  • Develop and implement accounting policies, internal controls, and audit procedures to protect the company's financial health
  • Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management for business growth and risk management
  • Ensure reconciliation of intercompany transactions across all business units
  • Support audits, investor reviews, and compliance inspections as needed

Other Duties

  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure financial and operational alignment
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by management relevant to the role

Employment Terms

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Mandatory Saturday Work: Every 2nd Saturday of the month, 9:00 AM – 12:00 NN
  • Office Location: 2/F Sitaldasons Building, 2667 Honduras St., Brgy. San Isidro, Makati City

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php35, Php70,000.00 per month
