Business Analyst (Financial Domain)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Business Analyst
to join our team, bridging the gap between our business objectives and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the financial industry and a proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements for our IT teams. This role is critical in driving the success of our projects by ensuring our technical solutions align with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
    Lead workshops and interviews with stakeholders to elicit, document, and manage detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
  • SQL & Data Analysis:
    Utilize
    SQL
    as a primary tool to query, analyze, and validate data, providing insights that support requirements definition, root cause analysis, and decision-making.
  • Agile & JIRA Management:
    Act as a key member of an
    Agile
    team, managing the product backlog and sprint activities using
    JIRA
    to ensure a smooth project lifecycle from ideation to delivery.
  • Business Process Optimization:
    Analyze and model existing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and designing optimized workflows for new and enhanced systems.
  • Financial Domain Expertise:
    Apply a deep understanding of the
    financial domain
    to all projects, ensuring all solutions are compliant, secure, and meet the specific needs of our financial services.
  • Documentation & Communication:
    Create comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, and other project artifacts. Serve as the main point of contact between business units and technical teams, facilitating effective communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Financial Domain Knowledge:
    Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within the financial, banking, or fintech industries.
  • SQL Proficiency:
    Strong working knowledge of
    SQL
    with the ability to write complex queries for data analysis, reporting, and validation.
  • Requirements Expertise:
    Demonstrated expertise in requirements gathering, business process mapping, and creating detailed documentation.
  • Agile & JIRA Experience:
    Practical experience working in an
    Agile
    environment and managing tasks, user stories, and backlogs within
    JIRA
    .
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
    Excellent analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems and propose logical solutions.
  • Communication:
    Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
