The Senior Accounting Assistant is responsible for managing and analyzing the cost accounting of lubricant products for distribution. This role ensures accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting to support pricing, profitability, and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate cost records of lubricant products, including landed costs, supplier pricing, and variances.
  • Prepare and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), gross margin, and profitability reports.
  • Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements, and reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
  • Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and sales teams to validate cost data.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related course.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, with strong cost accounting background.
  • Experience in trading or distribution of lubricants, oil, or related products is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
