As our RCM Team Leader, you will play a key role in guiding and empowering a high-performing team of remote billing agents. You'll oversee critical Home Health & Hospice billing operations, ensure compliance with payer regulations, and drive process excellence across the board.

Responsibilities

  • Assign daily tasks, balance workloads, and actively monitor team productivity
  • Lead team huddles, 1:1 coaching sessions, and performance evaluations
  • Oversee all Home Health & Hospice billing functions, including NOA/NOE, Final, and Hospice claims
  • Review claims for completeness, compliance, and accuracy before submission
  • Ensure effective utilization of EMR systems and clearinghouses
  • Maintain strict adherence to Medicare, Medicaid, and payer-specific billing guidelines
  • Uphold SOPs and conduct consistent quality checks
  • Identify gaps in processes, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Serve as the first escalation point for claim errors, denials, and billing bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate closely with AR, Coding, Intake, and Clinical teams
  • Track timely filing limits, submissions, rejections, and unbilled claims, report variances promptly
  • Prepare, analyze, and present performance and operational reports

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of Home Health & Hospice billing experience (mandatory)

Strong working knowledge of: CMS regulations, NOA/NOE processes and Timely filing guidelines

  • Proficiency in EMRs such as Axxess, WellSky, or Kinnser, plus clearinghouse tools
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-management skills
  • Ability to lead and support a remote team of 15+ billing agents across multiple time zones
  • Problem-solving expertise with a strong process-driven mindset
  • High attention to detail and ability to analyze trends for operational improvement
  • Willingness to work night shifts and begin immediately
