We are seeking an experienced Home Health Medical Coder to join our growing team. In this fully remote position, you'll review and analyze medical records for home health care services, assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes, and ensure compliance with current coding regulations. If you have a strong attention to detail and can work independently, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Review home health patient records for accuracy and completeness
  • Assign correct ICD-10 and CPT codes based on documentation
  • Ensure coding compliance with industry standards and payer regulations
  • Work with clinical staff to clarify documentation as needed
  • Identify and correct coding errors to support clean claims
  • Stay updated on coding rules, guidelines, and Medicare policies
  • Participate in audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist with billing, reimbursement, and staff education if needed

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in home health coding
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
  • Familiarity with home health documentation and Medicare regulations
  • Excellent analytical and data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • AHIMA or AAPC certification preferred (CCS, CPC, etc.)
