Job Responsibilities

  • Ensures propriety of payables, that documents are compliant with established company policies, audit requirements, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and existing tax laws.
  • Be able to identify unusual spikes/variances of assigned commodities and justify such prior to processing.
  • Effective file-management by ensuring completeness of Accounts Payable and Check Vouchers of all processed transactions.
  • Participate on month-end closing procedures which may include provision of amounts for accrual purposes of assigned commodities, prepayment amortizations, account analysis amongst others.
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues Execute the necessary activities to collect amounts due to the customer (calls, reminders, demand letter issuance, payment method options etc) within the agreed credit term, in coordination with customer and other internal departments (commercial, legal etc), as applicable
  • Effective file-management by ensuring completeness of Invoices' receiving copies including billing supports and Official Receipts.
  • Assists in internal, statutory and government audit reguirements as necessary.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Finance-related course (e.g. Accountancy, Financial Management)
  • At least 2 years Experience
    in Accounting, AP, AR, or Finance-related work
  • Experience in transport or logistics industry is a plus
