We are actively seeking an experienced and highly capable Accounting Assistant Supervisor to join our team immediately. You will supervise the transactional accounting team, ensuring accurate and compliant execution of day-to-day accounting, with specialized focus on the unique financial aspects of the construction industry, such as job costing and progress billing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Workflow Management: Direct and mentor the Accounting Assistant team, overseeing the daily workflow for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Core Accounting Functions: Manage the general ledger, perform complex bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure accurate and timely handling of billing and collections.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure strict adherence to BIR compliance requirements and assist with timely submission of financial reports and schedules for management review.
  • Inventory & Coordination: Oversee inventory tracking procedures and manage cross-department coordination (e.g., with project managers and site engineers) to ensure accurate cost allocation.
  • Job Costing & Billing: Apply specialized accounting knowledge to ensure accurate project cost tracking, progress billing, and revenue recognition for construction contracts.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 1-3 years of proven experience in general accounting, specifically covering AP/AR, billing, and financial reporting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert level proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Must be proficient with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or other industry-specific systems).
  • Availability: Must be able to start ASAP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Expertise: Previous experience in the Construction, Real Estate Development, or Engineering industry.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with job costing, progress billing, and contract accounting principles.
  • Certification: Possessing a CPA license or equivalent certification is highly valued.
