Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Maintenance to oversee and manage all maintenance operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical and plumbing systems, combined with proven leadership experience as a head of maintenance. This role ensures the efficient operation, safety, and upkeep of all equipment, utilities, and building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team in performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee repair, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical and plumbing systems to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, work orders, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor facility systems and equipment performance to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, occupational safety standards, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for specialized maintenance work.
  • Provide regular reports on maintenance activities, issues, and improvement plans to management.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff to build a skilled and reliable team.
  • Plan and manage the maintenance budget effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as Head of Maintenance, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general facility systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate with staff and management.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Vocational/Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in maintenance, electrical, or plumbing are an advantage.
  • Experience in facilities management within residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
