I. JOB IDENTIFICATION

Job Title : Sr. Inventory Analyst

Job Classification : Supervisory

Job Grade : S4

Reports to : VP Supply Chain

Supervises : None

II. JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing costs. This role supports supply chain efficiency by providing accurate reporting, forecasting, and process improvements across warehouses, stores, and suppliers.

III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and turnover across all locations.

· Conduct inventory analysis (stock days, sell-through, aging, shrinkage, and replenishment trends).

· Develop and maintain inventory reports, KPIs, and dashboards for management.

· Work closely with merchandising, replenishment, logistics, and sales teams to balance stock availability and cost.

· Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock and recommend action plans.

· Support the implementation of FEFO/FIFO policies, planograms, and warehouse space optimization.

· Assist in demand forecasting and inventory planning using historical data and trends.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.

· Participate in stock audits, cycle counts, and variance investigations.

· Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and supply chain efficiency.

Projects and Others

· Assist Replenishment Managers and VP Supply Chain in data collection and analysis for inventory optimization projects.

· Support the implementation or testing of new replenishment tools or systems (e.g., ERP updates).

· Assist seasonal planning projects by preparing reports and forecast comparisons.

· Help track progress on process improvement initiatives within the supply chain team.

IV. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, supply chain, or data analysis (at least 3 years preferred). · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ·
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, or inventory management software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.). ·
  • Knowledge of replenishment methods (Min/Max, EOQ, Safety Stock, FEFO/FIFO). ·
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams. · Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with large datasets.
