The Safety Officer and Pollution Control Officer are responsible for ensuring that the company operates in compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations. They implement, monitor, and maintain programs that promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace in accordance with the standards set by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and other relevant agencies.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with DOLE and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits within the workplace.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Lead accident investigations, prepare reports, and ensure timely submission to relevant authorities.
  • Facilitate safety orientations, trainings, and emergency drills for employees and contractors
  • Monitor compliance with PPE usage, safety signage, and housekeeping standards
  • Coordinate with management and government agencies on safety-related matters.
  • Participate in the Health and Safety Committee and ensure implementation of committee recommendations.
  • Implement and monitor the company's environmental management system and compliance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with DENR requirements, including permits, reports, and waste management documentation.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of air, water, and solid waste management practices within the facility
  • Coordinate waste segregation, storage, treatment, and disposal in accordance with environmental regulations
  • Prepare and submit required reports such as SMR (Self-Monitoring Report), CMR (Compliance Monitoring Report), and other regulatory filings.
  • Conduct environmental awareness and pollution prevention trainings for employees.
  • Liaise with the DENR, EMB, LGUs, and other agencies on environmental compliance matters.
  • Advise management on environmental protection strategies and sustainable practices.

  • Safety Officer and PCO in a Manufacturing Setting : 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • DOLE-accredited Safety Officer Training (SO2 or SO3) (Required)
