JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Responsibility encompasses all equipment and areas inside the facility, i.e. Boiler, T/G, coal yard, material delivery handling systems, fire-fighting station, standby gen-set unit, cooling tower and all other plant auxiliaries that form part of the whole plant operation.

  2. Closely monitor and fill out the operation log sheets at predetermined interval every shift, showing the actual operating values of every process flow, pressure & temperature indications, generator load condition, motor & fans condition, and other relevant indications found at local instruments & panels. If any deviation from the standard operating values (set forth for this operation) is observed and found, ACRO must immediately inform Shift Engineer on-duty so that corrective action could be taken immediately.

  3. Under the supervision of the Shift Engineer on-duty, perform regular cleaning of strainers, metal screens, air filters, water filters and bag filters following the standard operating procedure separately issued for this purpose.

  4. Initiate and help in the troubleshooting of malfunctioned equipment without waiting for maintenance personnel to arrive. If problems at hand cannot be fixed alone by the ACRO, Shift Engineer must be immediately informed and advised so that assistance could be sought from other operations and maintenance personnel either off-duty or on-duty at the time.

  5. When a colleague is absent due to valid reasons, the Shift Engineer may have to assign the ACRO to report to work as an immediate replacement even during his day-off or unscheduled shift to avoid under-manning of operation. Accordingly, Shift Engineer must inform Operations Head on such adjustments of manning for approval.

  6. A proper, clear and correct turnover of work between outgoing and incoming ACRO must be strictly observed before leaving the post and before taking over the next shift.

  7. Regularly perform cleaning of every equipment using damp cloth and/or air. Absorbent pads must be used for removing oil leaks.

  8. Help maintain 5S or good housekeeping inside the facility at all times, following the basic principle of "Clean-As-You-Go". Before leaving the post, collected garbage must be transferred to the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and all hazardous wastes into the dedicated storage facility prior to final disposal.
