Job Description:

Position: SKILLED MAINTENANCE

Location: Binondo, Manila

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains work logs and records related to completed work tasks.
  2. Receives work orders and determines necessary tools, materials, and equipment needed to complete assignment
  3. Performs carpentry work in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, facilities and stores, including partitions, cabinets, floors, roofs, doors, windows, furniture, scaffolds, and forms.
  4. Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues. Installs and makes repairs to electrical wiring, switches, outlets, fixtures, and motors.
  5. Paints walls and buildings and performs other related tasks including preparing surfaces for painting or repainting.
  6. Install appliances and equipment
  7. Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
  8. Repairs and/or replaces door hinges, locks, thresholds, door closure, door jambs, and panic hardware.
  9. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation)
  10. Check the functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarms)
  11. Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, etc.
  12. Collect office trash and dispose of it properly
  13. Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations and repairs
  14. Report to a facilities or manager for issues

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as skilled maintenance or similar position
  • Knowledgeable about carpentry, woodworks
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools. Operates a variety of hand and power tools including saws, welders, electric drills, pipe threaders, and joiners in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina and dexterity
  • Be available for 'on call' work evenings or weekends and for unforeseen situations as necessary.
  • High school diploma or vocational courses equivalent
  • Must be residing in Manila or willing to be assigned in this area.
  • Immediate availability required.
