As a Network Architect, your contributions will ensure the performance, reliability, and security of the technologies that help protect lives—advancing our shared goal of a safer world.

THE ROLE

• You will work closely with our Network and Infrastructure Service team to support safety-critical communications where reliability, security, and offline operation are essential.
• This role will expand our architectural capability to design robust, secure network infrastructures that integrate with cloud, on-premise, and mission-critical systems used by air navigation customers.

MAIN TASKS

• Own the end-to-end network design (HLD/LLD, BOM, and acceptance criteria) for Network and Infrastructure service projects.
• Design and document secure L2/L3 architectures (routing, switching, firewalling, segmentation, VPN, QoS, multicast, IPv6).
• Ensure redundancy and resiliency through HA designs, multi-path routing, and dual-site setups.
• Plan and validate secure remote access and network segmentation for operational environments with limited Internet connectivity.
• Define monitoring and observability baselines (SNMP, NetFlow, syslog, telemetry, SLA dashboards).
• Collaborate closely with virtualization and system engineers to ensure endpoint protection baselines (Defender, WDAC, AppLocker, Carbon Black) are supported by network policies and architecture.
• Create implementation plans, rollback strategies, and operational documentation for cutovers and migrations.
• Participate in capacity and performance management, defining metrics and proactive monitoring standards.
• Support supplier qualification and design reviews, ensuring architectural compliance and standardization across NIS.
• Support occasional after-hours maintenance windows.

KNOW-HOW AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise or OT network design and operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco, Juniper or similar platforms.
• Proven experience with BGP, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and wireless networking.
• Experience designing high-availability and multi-site infrastructures.
• Understanding of secure environments (air-gapped, restricted, or regulated).
• Familiar with ITIL service processes and documentation best practices.
• Solid ability to translate technical needs into design deliverables (HLD/LLD, MOPs, handover docs).

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with mission-critical or regulated sectors (aviation, defense, utilities).
• Familiarity with automation (Ansible/Python) and config management.
• Understanding of cloud interconnects (Azure/AWS hybrid networks).
• Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, NSE, or PCNSE.
