Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Employee Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment by managing employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting a culture of respect, fairness, and engagement. This role plays a key part in resolving workplace conflicts, conducting investigations, and advising management and staff on HR policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.
  • Conduct prompt, thorough, and fair workplace investigations in response to employee complaints and concerns.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address and resolve employee issues in a manner that aligns with company values and compliance standards.
  • Maintain and update records of employee relations cases, investigations, and outcomes.
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop proactive strategies that improve employee engagement and reduce turnover.
  • Support performance management processes, including disciplinary actions and terminations, ensuring legal compliance and consistency.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training programs on employee relations topics such as harassment, conflict resolution, and workplace conduct.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and HR teams to ensure company policies are aligned with employment laws and best practices.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in employee relations or generalist HR roles.
  • Experience conducting investigations and handling employee complaints.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations (local, state, and federal).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
