HR Employee Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Employee Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment by managing employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting a culture of respect, fairness, and engagement. This role plays a key part in resolving workplace conflicts, conducting investigations, and advising management and staff on HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters across the organization.
 - Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.
 - Conduct prompt, thorough, and fair workplace investigations in response to employee complaints and concerns.
 - Collaborate with leadership to address and resolve employee issues in a manner that aligns with company values and compliance standards.
 - Maintain and update records of employee relations cases, investigations, and outcomes.
 - Analyze trends and metrics to develop proactive strategies that improve employee engagement and reduce turnover.
 - Support performance management processes, including disciplinary actions and terminations, ensuring legal compliance and consistency.
 - Assist with the development and delivery of training programs on employee relations topics such as harassment, conflict resolution, and workplace conduct.
 - Partner with Legal, Compliance, and HR teams to ensure company policies are aligned with employment laws and best practices.
 - Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
 - 3–5 years of experience in employee relations or generalist HR roles.
 - Experience conducting investigations and handling employee complaints.
 - HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus.
 
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations (local, state, and federal).
 - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
 - High emotional intelligence and ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and confidentiality.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
 - Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
 - Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
