Key Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and develop the PH finance team, building capability, collaboration and excellence
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring data integrity and efficiency
• Deliver monthly and annual financial statements and reports aligned to Australian standards
• Manage statutory compliance, including ACNC, ATO, and local tax and audit requirements
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling for strategic decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, service delivery, compliance) across PH and AU
• Preparation of reports for Board and Executive Committee
• Lead process improvements and system implementations, including Xero and other ERP tools

Qualification and requirements:

Essential:

• CPA or CA qualification (mandatory)
• Minimum 7 years' experience in senior financial roles
• Strong leadership and people management experience
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., Xero)
• Strong understanding of IFRS and/or Australian financial standards
• Clear and confident communication skills
• Valid PH police clearance

Desirable:

• Experience in NFP or mission-driven organisations
• Familiarity with Australian compliance frameworks (ACNC, ATO, SCHADS)
• Prior experience working in an international finance function
• Exposure to grant funding or donor-funded programs

Non-negotiable skills & requirements:
