The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, ensuring software quality, and optimizing the testing process. This role requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies, automation tools, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify areas for test automation.
  • Ensure automation frameworks are reusable, scalable, and efficient
  • Analyze requirements, specifications, and user stories to identify test scenarios and cases.
  • Execute automated test scripts, document results, and report defects.
  • Work closely with manual testers to convert manual test cases into automated ones
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Katalon, Appium, or similar.
  • Explore and integrate modern tools for CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand software functionality.
  • Provide regular status updates on testing progress and automation coverage.
  • Identify, isolate, and resolve software bugs and issues found during automated testing.
  • Analyze test results to pinpoint issues and communicate findings to relevant teams
  • Advocate for test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) practices.
  • Continuously improve testing strategies to reduce testing time and improve coverage.
  • Primarily focus on test automation, with occasional support on manual testing activities as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI).
  • Experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks (data-driven, keyword-driven, or hybrid).
  • Familiarity with Agile development tools like Jira, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with IntelliJ IDEA or similar IDE (preferred).
