MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or any similar field.
  • Proven work experience as cost estimator for 5 years and above
  • Advance knowledge of construction and engineering process
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and designs
  • Proficient with computer estimation software
  • Basic knowledge in AutoCAD and Microsoft software

JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead Quantity Surveyor will be responsible in identifying, quantifying, providing, checking and coordinating all cost factors involved in a project.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and present budgetary estimate in the following phases of the project:

a. Schematic Stage

b. Design Development Stage

c. FCD Stage

  • Meeting with clients (internal & external) to discuss the scope and scale of the project
  • Travelling to job sites to gather information on materials, labor and other factors
  • Collaborating with engineers, contractors, consultants and architects
  • Consulting with industry experts to discuss cost estimates
  • Identifying and quantifying all cost factors involved in the project
  • Preparing and presenting cost reports
  • Reviewing expenditure statements during all phases of the project
  • Prepare budgetary estimate for permit, bidding, bank and PagIBIG purposes.
  • Assist in the value engineering phases of the project, recommend ways to reduce project costs
  • Maintain records of estimated and actual costs
