Role Purpose:

To ensure accurate and secure processing, safekeeping and settlement of clients' securities transactions, while maintaining compliance with regulations and delivering high-quality custodian services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a new role, hence in the start there will be more set-ups, meetings, training, documentation and internal/external coordination more than the regular transaction processing task.

  1. Report to Division Head - Operations, and manage daily activities of custody operation including settlement and clearing, corporate actions, reconciliation, payments, FX, cash management and reporting.

  2. Ensure that all deliverables conform with client contractual, market and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and the Bank's internal policies.

  3. Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless operations.

  4. Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing controls following operational risk guidelines.

  5. Evaluate and propose solutions on client requirements from operation and system perspectives.

  6. Work with Product and Change team of Regional Custody Operation on change requests to meet the changing need of the business.

  7. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices in custody operations. Leverage technology and automation where applicable.

  8. Implement regional custody directed initiatives, as required.

  9. Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Collaborate with relationship managers to support client needs.

  10. Handle other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management from time to time.
