Responsibilities

  • Install rooftop and ground‑mounted solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems as required
  • Run wiring, cabling, conduiting; install or modify electrical panel boards
  • Perform site assessments, read blueprints or single‑line diagrams, assist in layout and equipment placement
  • Conduct testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of solar systems (PV modules, inverters, batteries)
  • Configure inverter settings; activate monitoring software (e.g. Growatt, Sungrow, SMA, Victron, others)
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work area; ensure safety procedures and compliance with local electrical / solar codes
  • Prepare job reports, bill of materials, and documentation of installation and system performance
  • Cooperate with engineering / project staff for feedback on system design, installation methods, improvements

Qualifications

  • At least High School Diploma; Vocational / Technical training in Electrical, Solar, Renewable Energy is a plus
  • Minimum 1‑2 years experience in solar PV installation, maintenance, or related electrical work
  • Knowledge in electrical systems, ability to read schematic/ wiring diagrams
  • Good troubleshooting skills; able to identify and fix issues in solar installations
  • Able to work at heights, outdoors, physically fit
  • Willingness to travel outside base location (if projects require)
