The General Accounting Analyst is responsible for providing support to the accounting and finance team by assisting with day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational knowledge in accounting principles and a desire to grow in a professional finance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledgers.
  • Assist in preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Help in preparing tax returns, VAT filings, and other government reporting requirements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow transactions.
  • Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Assist in the audit process by providing supporting documentation and reports.
  • Ensure proper filing of financial documents and compliance with internal controls.
  • Provide support in budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
  • Perform other administrative and accounting-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
  • Preferably with 6 months to 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
