Senior Finance Analyst, General Accounting

The Senior Finance Analyst will handle bank reconciliation of Manulife Philippines and MCBL. He/She will attend and provide all necessary documents for SGV, IC and BIR audit purposes. He/She will be part of 2D team acting as "QA". He/She will handle various account reconciliations. He/She will also handle validation and review of fixed asset account.

Bank Reconciliation

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, comparing bank statements with internal ledgers to identify and resolve any differences.
• Research the causes of discrepancies and implement solutions
• Post adjusting entries and other transactions to ensure the general ledger is accurate and updated
• Coordinate with various bank partners and colleagues regarding outstanding bank item floats
• Record collections weekly using the MP daily collection report provided by Billing team
• Prepare and submit Quarterly bank recon aging report, bank charges and bank statement activities

Assist with external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and schedule to SGV, Insurance Commission and Bureau of Internal Revenue

General Ledger Reconciliation

• Review and reconcile the outstanding items in – long outstanding staled cheques
• Review and reconcile outstanding items of account – other payables
• Submit quarterly analysis of unclaimed property for accounts and 960723
• Reconcile and reclass entries for account 800000

Fixed Assets Reconciliation

• Review and confirm assets for booking in Asset Manager and upload entries of confirmed assets
• Perform monthly Fixed Asset Recon for Manulife Philippines and Manulife Chinabank
• Review and confirm Asset Net book value
• Prepare entries for asset disposal and write down
• Prepare fixed asset schedule and submit them to external auditors

Disbursement Process 2D

• Perform daily validation of ATAS transaction to ensure quality control within the team
• Daily audit and confirmation of disbursement replacement request initiated in CMS and WMT
• Prepare and upload entries for PLDT and Meralco submitted by Corporate service team

Others

• QA of NON-ATAS transactions (Back UP)
• Respond and attend to email inquiries
• Attends to inquiries of other BUs for accounting related concerns (AP, CA, Liquidation, Audit, etc.)
• PCF Certifications consolidation & Inventory

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
