About the role

Join the dynamic team at SUMA as a Barista. In this full-time position, you will be the face of our café, delivering exceptional customer service and crafting delightful coffee beverages in the heart of Makati City, Metro Manila.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to customer orders and company standards
  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work station, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Restock and rotate inventory, ensuring a well-stocked supply of ingredients and materials
  • Assist with general café duties, including cash handling, light food preparation, and table service as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with new menu items, brewing techniques, and industry trends

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role in the food and beverage industry
  • Strong knowledge of coffee and espresso-based beverages, including their preparation, presentation, and flavour profiles
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a warm and welcoming experience
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and equipment
