As a Barista at Outpost Specialty Concepts, Inc., you will be in-charge of ensuring the coffee shop is clean, tidy and well-stocked, and making a wide range of both food and drinks, Barista you will gain a vast cross-section of transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, organization, problem-solving, multitasking, reliability and attention to detail that can be utilized in many roles and industries. Also addresses customers complaints and queries in a courteous manner and will contribute to the professional development of staff.

What you'll be doing

  • Welcome the guests
  • Brewing coffee
  • Preparing food such as making sandwiches or baking pastries
  • Checking the dates on any food and syrup have not expired
  • Preparing fresh sanitizer solution.
  • Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers
  • Receiving and processing customer payments
  • Taking orders from customers and dealing with queries
  • Ensuring the display is always well stocked
  • Preparing food and drinks carefully and to our high standards
  • Managing stock levels and identifying ordering requirements
  • Cash handling and ensuring all sales are processed accurately through POS system
  • Cleaning all coffee equipment and machines
  • Cleaning spillages and breakages
  • Makes sure that the company's rules in food sanitation procedures are followed
  • Cleaning work areas to ensure food and drink preparation areas are always hygienic.
  • Disassembling and washing the coffee machine and other equipment
  • Wiping counters and cabinets
  • Emptying the cash drawer and cashing up
  • Record any wasted products in a log
  • Assist in paperwork task assigned by the Management
  • Does the Weekly and Monthly inventory of the dining, kitchen wares and equipment, including wastage and spoilage.
  • Assist the Operations Head in providing constructive criticism to colleague's performance.
  • Secure the financial sales of the store
  • Ensure the change fund is complete and with enough denomination for change.
  • Ensures safe keeping of all money including Petty Cash and Cash Fund.
  • Prepares bill outs quickly and accurately
  • Receives the payment by cash, vouchers
  • Issues receipts, refunds and gives change to customer
  • Checking of online orders from all apps applied.
  • Properly disposes food debris in the designated garbage cans

Job Type: Full-time
