What you'll be doing

  1. Coordinate and manage the mechanical engineering aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  2. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, such as plumbing, and fire protection systems
  3. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and problem-solving
  4. Identify and mitigate risks, and implement appropriate strategies to address them
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  6. Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, including mentoring and training of junior staff
  7. Prepare detailed project reports, including progress updates, cost analyses, and quality assurance documentation

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  2. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex mechanical engineering projects within budget and on schedule
  3. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  5. Proficient in the use of project management software and tools
  6. Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  7. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
