Our sister company, an FnB industry is looking for:
● 4+ years of proven experience preparing financial statements, mandatory filings, and bank reports.
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines reliably.
● Can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
● Experience using Quickbooks, Xero, or other accounting software.
● Excellent communication skills (English and Tagalog).
● Proficient with Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and/or Microsoft product counterparts.
● Intermediate knowledge of Excel including formulas such as lookups, etc.
● Willing to work in Bagong-Ilog, Pasig.
Nice-to-haves:
● Prior exposure to applying for government permits to start or continue operations.
● Holds an active CPA license.
What you'll be doing
Own all bookkeeping and expense processing for the company:
● Recording daily sales and expenses company-wide (for stores and head office).
● Monitoring subsidiary ledger / ORs.
● Monitoring and recording of all payables and receivables. This includes suppliers, utilities and other operational sources.
● Processing of purchase requests and disbursements for all payables.
● Validate the correctness of payroll files computed by the HR department.
Preparing financial statements:
● Performing consistent bank reconciliations to ensure we know money moves in and out.
● Monthly preparation of income and cash flow statements for use in decision making and capital allocation by the CEO.
● Conduct regular reconciliation with store teams to ensure the proforma income statement that they produce and use for decisions is accurate.
Auditing inventory and cash:
● Conducting periodic cash counts of petty cash and auditing of submitted receipts.
● Organize store teams to perform their end of week inventory.
● Performing end of month closing inventory for a select few stores.
● Auditing cashiers, officers, and store raw material inventory.
● Monitoring of fixed assets inventory.
Preparing mandatory filings and being the ultimate owner of all tax compliance such as:
● Report and remittances to BIR, SSS, Philhealth, Pag-IBIG.
● Calculating withholding taxes, VAT, and income taxes.
● Quarterly preparation and reporting of VAT relief and QAP.
● Documents needed by stores like operational permits and licenses.
Performing other tasks as needed:
● Coordinating schedules, activities, and reports with other departments.
● Assisting with ad hoc finance-related tasks and projects.
● Other tasks that may be assigned as needed.
