  • Loading and unloading: Receiving and unpacking merchandise shipments from trucks and other sources.
  • Stocking and organizing: Placing items in designated storage areas, shelves, or bins according to established procedures.
  • Inventory management: Using inventory software to track product locations, quantities, and movements.
  • Order fulfillment: Pulling items from shelves to fulfill customer orders.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace: Ensuring aisles, shelves, and storage areas are free of clutter and hazards.

Additional tasks may include:

  • Assisting with shipping and receiving.
  • Working with vendors to resolve issues with damaged or missing goods.
  • Maintaining records of inventory movements.(If any)
  • Assisting with setting up sales displays (event)

Skills and qualifications:

  • Physical stamina: Stockers need to be able to lift heavy items and be on their feet for extended periods.
  • Teamwork: Stockers often work as part of a team and need to be able to collaborate effectively when overtime needed.
  • Basic computer skills: Familiarity with inventory software and basic data entry is often required.
  • Communication skills: Effectively communicating with team members, supervisors.
