Job Summary

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring materials, supplies, and services required for Plant. This role ensures that all purchases meet quality standards, are cost-effective, and are delivered on time to support smooth plant operations. The position also involves supplier management, cost analysis, and coordination with various departments to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchases without compromising quality
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier database
  • Coordinate with the Production and Maintenance teams to determine material requirements
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, pricing, or delivery
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and alternative materials
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all purchasing activities
  • Assist in inventory monitoring to avoid shortages or overstocking
