Electrical Senior Engineer

He/she will be part of the project and site selection team. With an emphasis on the electrical discipline, he or she will oversee the resource evaluation of possible solar, hydro, and energy storage sites using the relevant software tools. To guarantee the best financial modeling inputs (such as cost estimates and Bill of Quantities), he or she will perform desktop research while choosing a site. He or she will serve as the team's technical point of contact with the EPCs during the tender process.

Experience:

● Preferably with more than five (5) years' experience in related field

Education:

• Licensed Electrical Engineer
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree an advantage

Accountability

Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of electrical aspects of projects.

● Lead technical engineer for electrical related elements of

design and design review of renewable energy and energy

storage projects.

● Part of the site screening team for the technical evaluation

of assigned projects during the stages of project

development, including but not limited to the following:

a. Site validation (desktop and site visit)

b. Conduct of R&D activities for the technical

assessment (electrical) of projects under

development;

c. Pre-feasibility study including but not limited to

yield assessment, CAPEX & BOQ estimates and

interconnection/single line diagrams

d. Conceptual design formulation

e. Technical evaluation of bidders for the projects;

and,

f. Preliminary and Final Design verification

● Provide technical input and direction in all electrical

aspects of the project, ensuring relevant industry

standards are achieved and check relevant output of the

project team and third-party consultants and contractors.

● Validate technical studies such as surveys, soil

investigations, hydrology, Engineering Geological and

Geohazard Assessment, Grid Impact Study and Facility

Study.

● Prepare, secure and gather all necessary design input,

specifications and functional descriptions such as technical

data sheets, layout drawings, equipment, drawings, wiring

diagrams, interface drawings and other engineering

documents required for greenfield/brownfield projects.

● Prepare initial project-related scope of works, technical

specifications and requirements and bid documents in

coordination with various groups applicable for

pre-development and development stages of the project

● Assist in the review of reports and output from consultants

and contractors, monitoring and reviewing actual project

progress and accomplishments.

● Coordinate and handle technical data gathering, queries,

assessment, analysis and recommend required action

during conceptualization/screening to feasibility study

phase of the project.

● Conduct technical evaluation of bidders for potential EPCs,

Owner's Engineer, consultants, and subcontractors for

projects under bidding

● Coordinate with concerned NGCP and electric

cooperatives for projects under development,

pre-construction, and construction.

● Prepare Project Risk Management Plan for each stage of

the project in coordination with Safety Officer, providing

input and action to mitigate risks and resolve issues.

● Prepare necessary reports related to his/her technical

field.

Other Related Tasks

● Closely coordinate with Mechanical Sr. Engineer, GIS

Specialist, Transmission Manager, and Land Acquisition

Team.

● Participate in the different programs of the organization

● Performs other related duties that may be assigned by

immediate superior.
