Plant Manager

Position Overview:

The Plant Manager at SIPSI is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations of our manufacturing plant. Reporting directly to the President, the Plant Manager will lead the Production Team, Maintenance Team, and Ancillary Team to ensure efficient production, maintenance, and overall plant performance. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

2. Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to the Production Team headed by the Production Supervisor, the Maintenance Team, and the Ancillary Team.

3. Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, teamwork, and employee development.

4. Set performance objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback to team members.

5. Identify training needs, facilitate training programs, and ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles.

6. Production Management:

7. Oversee the production processes and ensure adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and operational efficiency.

8. Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to optimize production workflows, reduce waste, and improve productivity.

9. Monitor production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

10. Maintenance Management:

11. Lead the Maintenance Team to ensure proper maintenance and optimal performance of plant equipment, machinery, and facilities.

12. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

13. Coordinate with the Maintenance Team to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment upgrades.

14. Establish and monitor maintenance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance programs and drive improvement.

15. Ancillary Team Management:

16. Oversee the Ancillary Team responsible for ancillary functions such as product quality inspection, purchasing, parts inventory control, production data gathering and reporting.

17. Collaborate with the Ancillary Team to gain meaningful insights how to meet the product quality standards, optimize processes, minimize costs, and ensure seamless support for production operations.

18. Develop and implement strategies to improve ancillary functions, such as parts inventory management and purchasing.

19. Strategic Planning and Performance Optimization:

20. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive plant performance, operational efficiency, and profitability.

21. Analyze production data, identify trends, and develop improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

22. Monitor industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation.

23. Work closely with the President and other senior management to align plant operations with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, and/or a related field.

• Proven experience (5 years) in a managerial role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.

• In-depth knowledge of production operations, maintenance practices, and ancillary functions.

• Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence.

• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Sound understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to ensuring a safe work environment.

• Proficiency in using relevant software applications and production management systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php45, Php60,000.00 per month
