Job Purpose:

The Plant and Equipment Manager is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, performance, and optimization of all plant, vehicles, and equipment used across company projects. The role ensures that all assets are operated efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, supporting operational productivity and compliance with statutory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Management of Plant and Equipment

  • Develop and implement strategies for effective utilization and lifecycle management of all plant and equipment.
  • Oversee the acquisition, registration, leasing, and disposal of machinery and vehicles.
  • Plan and forecast equipment requirements for current and upcoming projects.
  • Optimize equipment allocation across sites to reduce downtime and transport costs.

2. Maintenance and Reliability

  • Establish and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment are serviced according to manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement condition monitoring and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure timely audits.

3. Financial and Asset Control

  • Prepare and manage the plant and equipment department budget, including capital expenditure, maintenance, and fuel costs.
  • Monitor operational costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate asset tracking, valuation, and depreciation reporting.
  • Approve supplier and contractor invoices related to plant and equipment services.

4. Safety, Compliance, and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all equipment meets safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Enforce compliance with relevant regulations, permits, and certification requirements.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices among operators and maintenance teams.
  • Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and mechanical failures.

5. Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and develop a team of mechanics, plant operators, and support staff.
  • Set performance goals, conduct appraisals, and identify training needs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with site managers and project teams to ensure equipment needs are met.

6. Procurement and Vendor Management

  • Negotiate with suppliers, dealers, and rental companies for equipment purchase, lease, or repair services.
  • Review and approve technical specifications for new equipment.
  • Manage relationships with service providers and ensure high service quality and reliability.

Pay: Php80, Php100,000.00 per month
