Electrical Design Engineer

Makati City, National Capital Region, Philippines Solar Philippines Full time ₱480,000 - ₱1,440,000 per year

Scope of work:

  1. Prepare preliminary studies and proposal for new solar farm projects.

  2. Conduct detailed assessment and condition evaluation of existing substations, including equipment performance, protection schemes and physical infrastructure.

  3. Develop detailed design drawings for new substations and upgrades, including single line diagrams, cable schedules, grounding systems and control wiring.

  4. Specify and select appropriate electrical equipment based on operational requirements and system constraints.

  5. Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to review technical proposals and ensure compliance with design

requirements.

  1. Analyze and design transmission lines for HV/EHV levels, considering environmental, geographical, and technical

constraints.

  1. Perform impact studies and system studies (load flow, stability, fault analysis) to evaluate the feasibility of

interconnections and new projects.

  1. Coordinate with transmission operators and regulatory authorities to align new projects with grid codes and standards.

  2. Review and approve construction and testing procedures related to transmission infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer
  • With at least 3-5 years of extensive experience in substation and transmission line planning design and cost estimation
  • Must be skilled in MS Office, ETAP, PSS/E, AutoCAD and Google Earth
  • Adaptable, self-starter and hardworking
  • Has good communication skills
  • Will be assigned in Makati - Head Office with hybrid work arrangement
  • Full time position
