Job Purpose
The
Customer Service Officer
will serve as the central link between Dole Asia Food and Beverage (F&B) and its customers, ensuring that all market requirements are met with precision and care. This role is responsible for managing customer orders, coordinating supply chain activities, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support business growth and customer satisfaction. By leveraging advanced systems and fostering strong relationships across internal teams and external partners, the Customer Service Officer plays a vital role in driving operational excellence, forecast accuracy, and overall market performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The CSO will handle queries, orders and correspondences coming from the assigned markets and will be responsible for the follow-through and maintenance of good business relations with customers. He/she will be the single point of contact of the customers to handle all related concerns.
- It is his/her responsibility to make sure that the demand forecast of the market and orders of the customers are captured in the Supply Chain system. He/she will ensure that orders are served at the right time and in the right quantity. This means keeping track of the flow of the goods from production to actual shipment through constant coordination with the various personnel within the Sales & Marketing Team and the Manufacturing Divisions.
- He/she will also help in the management of the market's inventory at source and in-market, make sure that excess inventories are properly communicated, and SLOB is minimized. As needed, he/she will generate inventory analysis reports and leverage on the system to come up with said reports.
- The CSO will also provide regular, salient, and accurate information to Worldwide Supply Chain, Finance, and other support groups within the Dole system. It is also expected that he/she will maximize the use of SAP, Blue Yonder, and Power BI – systems that Dole is currently using, to further improve report generation and data visibility.
- His/her performance shall be measured in terms of fill rate, service level, forecast accuracy, over-all sales performance of the assigned market, proper management of inventory at source and in market, and quality of relationship with internal and external customers.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Strong sales, accounts management or customer service experience in the FMCG industry
- Solid background in inventory management, demand planning and forecasting, logistics and distribution
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong ability to integrate with various Asian cultures. Open-minded. Flexible.
- Highly results-oriented; Thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
- Entrepreneurial, independent, with good general management capability.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Bachelor's degree. MBA preferred, but not required.
- At least 3 years previous relevant work experience.
- Asian foreign language preferred, but not required.
