Are you ready to shape the narrative on trending news, and breakout companies and advancements, for millions in the deep-tech industry?

The Role: Defining the Future of Tech News

We are seeking a highly skilled Editor with an absolute passion for all things technology; in particular deep tech such as AI, Robotics, Quantum Computing, and other frontier technology categories. You will be responsible for defining the voice, selecting the content, and ensuring the technical accuracy and compelling readability of the newsletter.

This role is initially a contract-to-hire position, starting with 1–2 newsletters per week.

What You'll Be Editing and Writing

The core mission is to distill complex, breaking tech news into concise, high-value takeaways, including:

  • Today's Heavy-Hitting Stories Recap: Writing tight, descriptive headlines and summaries for the most important news of the day.
  • Everyday AI Tools: Developing engaging, tangible use-cases that show readers how to apply AI in their daily lives or businesses (e.g., using AI to achieve revenue goals).
  • And Several Other Core Sections in the Newsletter TBD (To Be Determined).

Essential Requirements

The ideal candidate has a solid background in technology news and meets these requirements:

  • 3+ Years in Technology News Writing and/or Editing.
  • 2+ Years Managing Contributors (freelancers, data visualization creators, etc.).
  • Absolute Fluency in Deep-Tech: Significant knowledge of and passion for AI, Robotics, Quantum Computing, and other breakthrough technologies.
  • Top-Level English / Grammar: Impeccable editing and proofreading skills.
  • AI-Fluent Mindset: Must view AI as an enablement tool for efficiency and rapid production, but prioritize human creativity and writing that deeply connects with readers.
  • Solutions & Possibility Mindset: A positive orientation toward problem-solving and finding creative solutions.
  • Organized: Fluent with project management systems and highly organized.

Pluses That Will Set You Apart

  • Significant knowledge of Space/Astronomy news.
  • Experience with Automations and Agentic AI tools.
  • Experience with A/B Testing or data-driven content strategy.
  • Front-End Web Development or UI/UX skills.
  • Data Visualization skills.
