The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and performance.
This role involves troubleshooting, updating, and optimizing various systems and networks to support business operations effectively. Work Arrangement: Onsite during probation, then transition to a hybrid setup
Work Schedule: Night Shift / 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM PhTResponsibilities:User Account Management: Handle password resets, troubleshoot 2FA issues, and provide user access to resources (Office 365, applications, file shares). Software Support: Perform updates and troubleshooting for applications such as QuickBooks, Pro Systems, Lacerte, and Citrix. Office 365 Authentication: Resolve Office 365 login issues and account synchronization problems.
Networking & Remote Access Support: Diagnose and resolve basic network issues using UniFi controller, and handle remote connection issues (VPN, RDP, etc.). Email & Communication Systems: Troubleshoot Outlook performance issues, email flow problems, and scan-to-email functionality. System-Wide Outages: Investigate outages, escalate issues, and coordinate with ISPs for circuit outages and service restoration.
Printer Support: Install and configure network printers to ensure proper network functionality. Incident Management: Document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions; escalate complex issues as needed. Client Communication: Provide professional updates to clients regarding issue status and resolutions.
Qualifications:Experience in an MSP environment or IT support services. Strong troubleshooting skills for software, network, and hardware issues. Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, Citrix, EntraID, and Azure.
Basic networking knowledge, including UniFi controller, VPN, and RDP troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information to non-technical users. Experience with accounting software platforms (QuickBooks, ProSystems, Lacerte).
Intermediate troubleshooting skills for desktop and server issues.
