Work Shift: Monday - Friday/ Morning Shift

The Managed Services team is responsible for monitoring, maintenance, support and consultancy of our client's IT systems and infrastructure. The team delivers full IT Lifecycle services based on our Client Best Practices Framework.

The IT Systems Engineer is a technical role primarily responsible for technical assistance including diagnosing and resolving issues and problems with software, hardware, computer peripheral equipment, networks, cloud systems, databases, and the Internet.

This role also provides support in the deployment, installation and maintenance of systems.

System Administration

• Managing Windows/Linux servers (on-prem and cloud)

• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy management

• Patch management and OS updates

Network Management

• Configuring and maintaining firewalls, routers, and switches

• VPN setup and troubleshooting

• Monitoring network performance and uptime

Cloud Services

• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)

• Azure AD, Intune, and other Microsoft cloud services

• Cloud migrations and hybrid environment support

Monitoring & Incident Response

• Using RMM tools (e.g. ConnectWise Automate) to monitor systems

• Responding to escalated alerts and resolving incidents

• Root cause analysis and documentation

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Managing backup solutions (e.g., Acronis)

• Testing and validating recovery procedures

• Ensuring compliance with client SLAs

Security Management

• Endpoint protection and antivirus management

• MFA, conditional access, and security policy enforcement

• Vulnerability assessments and remediation

Technical Support Escalation

• Handling Level 2/3 support tickets

• Assisting helpdesk with complex issues

Client Onboarding & Offboarding

• Setting up new environments

• Migrating data and configuring systems

Project Implementation

• Infrastructure upgrades (servers, networks, storage)

• Cloud migrations and virtualization projects

• Documentation and handover to support teams

• Very high-level verbal and written English

• 5 years' experience in IT support roles

• Extensive experience working within ticketing systems.

• Extensive Experience working with monitoring / RMM systems.

• Extensive knowledge of modern desktop environments Microsoft Windows 10 — 11.

• Solid understanding of end-user hardware setup, support and troubleshooting.

• Good fundamental Networking experience.

• Significant Microsoft Server experience with good fundamental understanding of Virtualization.

• Basic Microsoft Azure Active Directory experience.

• Fundamental understanding of IT security principles

• Significant Hyper-V Virtualization experience.

• Experience with setting up users, groups and configuration of Microsoft 365

• Advanced knowledge of modern backup and disaster recovery technologies
