Finance Business Analyst (Shared Services & Data Assurance)

Locations:

  • Ortigas, Pasig (Morning Shift)
  • BGC, Taguig (Hybrid | Mid Shift, 12nn–9pm, Mon–Fri)
Job Dimensions
  • Management: Individual Contributor responsible for developing and implementing standard reports, conducting in-depth data analysis, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Geographical Scope: Supports multiple affiliates across Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa.
  • Functional Scope: Data analytics, reporting, and performance tracking across General Ledger (R2R), Treasury & Reporting, Accounts Payable & Payments (P2P), Accounts Receivable (O2C), and audit-related data assurance.
Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Develops and implements standardized reports using data mining, trend analysis, and modeling techniques.
  • Ensures accuracy and integrity of financial data, applying accounting principles to support reporting and compliance.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis to identify insights, trends, and business solutions.

Business Insights & Process Improvement

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to identify reporting needs and improve reporting models.
  • Develops KPIs to measure performance and support business objectives.
  • Uses Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) and tools such as ACL to profile, convert, and test data.

Stakeholder Engagement & Support

  • Acts as liaison between business units to ensure smooth reporting and data assurance processes.
  • Provides training and support for the adoption of new reports, tools, and audit techniques.
  • Partners with Operations and Business Excellence teams on process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA is an advantage).

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in Shared Services, BPO, or Data Assurance in a relevant role.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SAP.
  • Knowledgeable in scripting languages (e.g., Java) and audit/data tools (ACL, CAATs).
  • Skilled in data mining, verification, and warehouse structures.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • High attention to detail, results-oriented, and client-focused.
  • Able to multitask, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
