About the Role
We're looking for a HubSpot Email Marketing Manager / Growth Hacker to own and scale our lifecycle email engine end-to-end. This is a hands-on role for someone who lives inside HubSpot, deeply understands ARRR (Acquisition, Activation, Revenue, Retention, Referral), and knows how to move users through the customer journey using behavioral data, intent, and timing.
This role is not about newsletters, list blasting, or one-off campaigns. It's about building intelligent, event-driven systems.
What You'll Own
Design, build, and optimize HubSpot email programs across the full customer lifecycle:
- Acquisition → Activation
- Trial → Paid
- Feature adoption & usage nudges
- Retention, re-engagement, and churn prevention
- Expansion, upsell, and referrals
Own and manage the HubSpot Mixpanel integration, including:
- Defining and mapping events, properties, and user attributes
- Triggering HubSpot workflows from Mixpanel events
- Validating data flow, timing, and reliability
Segment users using the ARRR framework by:
- Lifecycle stage
- Acquisition source
- Behavioral cohorts
- Product usage and intent signals
Build behavior-driven workflows in HubSpot using:
- Mixpanel events
- Time-based triggers
- Usage-based triggers
- Intent-based signals
Customize email templates dynamically based on:
- Where users are in the customer journey
- Time since signup or last activity
- Feature usage (or non-usage)
- Plan, cohort, and engagement patterns
Own HubSpot lists, lifecycle stages, custom properties, and lead scoring
Partner closely with Product, Growth, and Engineering
Continuously A/B test subject lines, content, timing, and CTAs
Build dashboards tying email performance to activation, retention, and revenue
Document lifecycle playbooks and experimentation frameworks
Must-Haves:
- 3–6+ years of hands-on HubSpot email marketing & automation experience
- Proven experience integrating HubSpot with Mixpanel
- Hands-on experience triggering HubSpot workflows from Mixpanel events
- Strong working knowledge of the ARRR framework
Demonstrated experience segmenting users by:
Cohort
- Acquisition source
- Lifecycle stage
Product behavior and intent
Experience designing lifecycle journeys bas
ed on time, usage, and intentStrong analytical and experimentation mindset
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience working with event-based analytics and data modeling
- Growth hacking or experimentation background
- HubSpot Certifications
- SaaS or product-led growth (PLG) experience
- Familiarity with additional tools (Amplitude, Segment, RudderStack, etc.)
