Accounts Payable Analyst (Contractor Role)

Your New Role

A broad and diverse new role acting as a key member of the Accounts Payable ('AP') team. The primary focus of the role will be on managing the sub-contractor ledger but the role will need to be able to provide cover to the wider team as required.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Process a high volume of vendor invoices with the necessary attention to detail.
  • Maintain and update vendor master data.
  • Liaise with the commercial and procurement teams to resolve any queries.
  • Work with the wider team to implement further system improvements.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues by liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Complete a sample of monthly creditor reconciliations.
  • Work with the team to manage the AP inbox.
  • Produce month end AP reports.
  • Produce ad hoc AP Reports for use by the business.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audit.
  • Provide cover for the AR (Accounts Receivable) team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Conscientious with a strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable dealing with a large number of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Minimum of 4+ years' experience in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with proven experience of using accounting software.
  • Prior experience using a Microsoft ERP is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent analytical and planning ability with exceptional numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible and willing to work in a constantly changing environment allowing for business growth.
  • Capable of prioritising tasks and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proactive and committed while supporting and motivating others.
  • Positive, professional, and outgoing demeanour.
