Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Staff is responsible for the financial, administrative and clerical support of a company. They are in charge of making payments owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors, paying vendor invoices or bills, and recording the company's short-term debts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completes payments by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

  • Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures

  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data

  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.

  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements

  • Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes.

  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.

  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

  • Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
