We're looking for an Estimator who's passionate about delivering quality results and contributing to a growing residential construction business. In this role, you'll assist the Director across all phases of the project lifecycle, helping ensure every build reflects our core values of Honesty, Affordability, Quality, Reliability, and Attentiveness.

What You'll Do 

  • Procure materials and fittings in line with project schedules, coordinating with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and availability.
  • Prepare and manage estimates, including take-offs, pricing, subcontractor quotations, and proposal submissions.
  • Handle project variations by preparing costings and obtaining client approvals.
  • Assist with site coordination, supporting the Site Supervisor in managing onsite works and ensuring smooth project delivery.
  • Ensure safety compliance by assisting subcontractors with SWMS and JSA preparation, tracking approvals, and maintaining safety registers.
  • Maintain project documentation, including warranty completion paperwork and accurate records of approved contractors and suppliers.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members through clear communication and a customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and technical skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Requirements
What You Bring 
We're looking for someone who: 
  • Proven experience in estimating and project coordination within the Australian residential construction industry (new builds, extensions, renovations, subdivisions, and property development).
  • Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, pricing, and measurement principles.
  • Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors, including sourcing quotations and managing procurement timelines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build rapport across internal teams and external partners.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety documentation such as SWMS and JSAs is an advantage.
  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
