Full Stack Developer

Role description

The Solution Developer (Full Stack) is responsible for developing, coordinating, and architecting all activities related to the development of Microsoft Full Stack, including integration with existing applications and third-party solutions, that support the initiative. This includes identifying and troubleshooting any application issues, resolving or escalating them as needed.

Additionally, She/he will assist in gathering requirements, building business cases, and estimating effort for enhancements of existing

solutions. She/he will work closely with the Project Manager/ Team/Platform Lead and reports to designated senior International Staff and/or senior National Staff.

Scope of Work/Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Test-Driven Development (TDD): Write comprehensive unit tests before developing code to ensure robust and maintainable codebases.
• Trunk-Based Development (TBD): Follow TBD practices to minimize merge conflicts and ensure continuous integration.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to ensure consistent and scalable infrastructure provisioning.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Implement SRE practices to manage and improve the reliability and availability of systems.
• Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring and logging systems to ensure the health and performance of

applications and infrastructure.

• Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Security: Implement security best practices in the CI/CD pipeline and across the software delivery process to ensure secure deployments and operations.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve the performance of applications and infrastructure to achieve faster lead times and higher deployment frequencies.
• Incident Management: Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence of issues.
• Any other related tasks as required by the client from time to time.

Skills

Requirement and Qualification (Education & Work Experience)

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Experience: Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer with a strong focus on DevOps practices. Experience in a DORA elite-level or high-performing software delivery team is highly desirable.

• Technical Skills:

oProficiency in front-end and back-end development using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, ).

oExperience with TDD, TBD, IaC, CI/CD, and SRE practices.

oStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible,

CloudFormation).

oFamiliarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

oExperience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

oUnderstanding of security best practices in the DevOps lifecycle.

• Soft Skills:

o Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

o Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

o Continuous learning mindset and the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

• Certifications (Optional): Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes

Administrator (CKA), or similar are a plus.
