Job Description:

We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to join our rapidly growing education technology startup. You'll be developing web applications and tools that sit on top of our cutting-edge, multi-cloud data platform architecture. Your work will directly impact educational outcomes for teachers and students across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Canada, and the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-the-tools development (75%) - Design, document, and develop easy-to-use analytics tools for customers
  • Customer onboarding (10%) - Onboard new customers and ensure existing tools meet their requirements
  • Knowledge sharing (15%) - Exemplify best practices, clean coding standards, and foster teamwork with peers
  • Perform proof-of-concept analysis and system comparisons to make informed technical decisions
  • Present ideas formally and contribute to product innovation through research and analytical skills

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional data engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of full development lifecycle (analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment)
  • Experience working in agile environments
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting serverless applications in cloud environments
  • Proficiency in writing SQL, T-SQL queries and data aggregation
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools in business applications
  • Good professional English language skills
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a curious mindset
  • Bonus: DevOps and automation experience with GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar

Tech Stack Requirements:

  • Frontend: React JS, TypeScript
  • Backend: Node JS, Fastify/Express
  • UI/Styling: CSS3, Tailwind CSS
  • Component Libraries: PrimeReact, Material UI, Ant Design
  • Data Visualization: Recharts, Chart JS, D3, or Visx
  • Database: SQL, T-SQL
  • Cloud Platforms: Cloudflare, GCP, or AWS (preferred)
  • Version Control: Git
