Job Summary

The Legal and Regulatory Compliance Officer supports the Legal Department in managing and monitoring corporate, regulatory, and governance-related compliance across the CSG Group of Companies. The role ensures that legal prerequisites and regulatory requirements are satisfied in preparation for corporate actions, property-related transactions, contracts, and other legal undertakings.

The position involves coordination with regulatory agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Registry of Deeds, Assessor's Office, and other applicable authorities, strictly in connection with legal documentation and regulatory processes within the scope of the Legal Department.

The role also contributes to strengthening internal documentation systems, maintaining audit readiness, and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and alignment of transaction-related legal records.

Day-to-day supervision is provided by the Group Legal Supervisor, with overall oversight and direction from the Group Vice President for Legal.

Key Responsibilities1. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

a. Support the Legal Department in assessing compliance readiness during the preparatory stages of legal transactions and corporate actions.

b. Coordinate with regulatory agencies (SEC, BIR, Registry of Deeds, Assessor's Office, and other relevant authorities) for the purpose of securing legal documentation, certifications, and clearances required for contracts, corporate actions, and other legal processes.

c. Maintain and update compliance calendars, trackers, and monitoring tools for regulatory obligations under the Legal Department's purview.

d. Review and monitor legal documentation requirements for property transactions, corporate actions, and non-tax regulatory filings.

2. Internal Legal Support and Coordination

a. Implement compliance workflows, procedures, and processes as delegated by the Group Legal Supervisor or as guided by the Group VP for Legal.

b. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure legal documentation is complete, properly routed, and filed in accordance with regulatory and corporate requirements.

c. Coordinate with compliance teams and relevant departments across other companies within the CSG Group to support legal documentation requirements and group-wide compliance alignment.

d. Assist in internal legal audit preparation and ensure documentation readiness.

e. Provide guidance and support to junior legal staff and support personnel on compliance-related assignments, when delegated.

3. Support to the Legal Department

a. Assist the Group Legal Supervisor in implementing compliance-related policies, procedures, and best practices.

b. Support internal audit, reporting, and documentation requirements involving legal and regulatory compliance matters.

c. Contribute to the enhancement of documentation systems and overall regulatory readiness within the Legal Department.

d. Coordinate with Finance and Tax Compliance teams strictly on legal documentation aspects of transactions with financial implications.

4. Other Responsibilities

Perform other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Group VP for Legal, consistent with the objectives and functions of the Legal Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Open to candidates with other academic backgrounds, provided they possess substantial and relevant experience in legal compliance, regulatory affairs, or corporate governance.
• At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated capability in managing compliance workflows and coordinating with regulatory agencies.
• Working knowledge of SEC, BIR, Registry of Deeds, and related regulatory processes is required.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of proficiency in documentation management.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under tight regulatory and compliance deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
