I. Purpose of the Role

The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Company operates in full compliance with applicable Philippine laws and regulations, particularly those issued by regulatory bodies such as BSP, SEC, and AMLC. The role supports business development initiatives while managing regulatory risk, AML compliance, and legal governance.

II. Regulatory Compliance & Liaison

  • Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory institutions, including but not limited to:
  • Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)
  • Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
  • Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC)
  • Regularly communicate with regulators to facilitate compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory reports, including but not limited to:
  • Covered Transaction Reports (CTR)
  • Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR)
  • Ensure timely and accurate regulatory submissions and responses.

III. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & BSP Supervision

  • Ensure company-wide compliance with AML laws, rules, and regulations, including BSP supervisory requirements.
  • Assist in the development, enhancement, and implementation of AML compliance initiatives and programs.
  • Monitor compliance-related incidents and:
  • Remind department heads of reporting obligations
  • Assess regulatory impact
  • Recommend appropriate action plans and resolutions

IV. Business Development & Licensing Support

  • Assist the Company's business development initiatives from a compliance and regulatory perspective, including:
  • Application and coordination for FX licenses and other regulatory licenses as required
  • Assisting the Company in joining industry associations such as PPMI
  • Providing compliance-related legal opinions for new merchant onboarding, including:
  • Conducting legal research on industry-specific qualification requirements in the Philippines
  • Adjusting KYC requirements based on regulatory risk and industry classification
  • Reviewing company business contracts to ensure compliance with Philippine laws and regulations

V. Regulatory Monitoring & Policy Advisory

  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret new regulatory circulars, advisories, and issuances.
  • Assess the impact of regulatory changes on company operations.
  • Disseminate compliance updates and ensure company-wide awareness of policies and regulatory developments that may affect the business.

VI. Training & Internal Advisory

  • Conduct topic-based legal and compliance training for employees in the Philippines.
  • Provide internal advisory support on compliance-related matters as needed.

VII. Other Responsibilities

  • Perform other compliance-related duties and tasks as may be assigned by management from time to time.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php80, Php100,000.00 per month
