About the role

We're seeking a talented and experienced Head Cook to join our team at the Good Pastry Café' in Quezon City Metro Manila. As Head Cook, you'll be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This is a full-time role that will see you play a pivotal part in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and lead the kitchen team, providing guidance, training and performance feedback

  • Develop and refine seasonal menus, ensuring a diverse and appetizing selection of dishes

  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to uphold our high quality standards

  • Enforce strict health, safety and hygiene protocols in the kitchen

  • Monitor stock levels and place orders to maintain adequate supplies

  • Collaborate with the management team to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities

  • Foster a positive, productive and harmonious work environment in the kitchen

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience as a Head Cook or Senior Chef in a similar high-volume, fast-paced hospitality environment

  • Demonstrable expertise in producing a wide range of pastries, baked goods and savoury dishes

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage a busy kitchen operation

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to oversee and motivate a team

  • Commercial awareness and a focus on maximising efficiency and profitability

  • Passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients and creating visually appealing dishes

  • Proven track record of maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
